Kora Organics Heart Chakra Essence Review
Miranda Kerr, in all of her au natural drop-dead babliness, recently came out with an all-natural and vegan-friendly line of beauty products called Kora Organics. Her entire line is certified ECOCERT and is free of sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colors, T.E.A., D.E.A., glycols, silicones, PEGS. ethoxylate, and formaldehyde. (← totally f*cked up that this nasty sh*t is allowed in any skincare products evah!)
I’ve been impressed with everything from her line that I’ve tried so far (peep my previous review here), and this Kora Organics Heart Chakra Essence rollerball is no exception. It’s made with certified organic jojoba oil, rose otto, sandalwood, cedarwood, and ylang ylang essential oils – it smells like heaven!
For those who are wondering what the heart chakra (also known as Anahata) is, it’s an all-encompassing ‘source-centre’ of love, joy and compassion; our connection to life and all living things. When the heart chakra is open and energy is flowing freely, you’re loving towards others, yourself, and you inspire kindness and compassion. Ha, it might sound kind of hippy-dippy, but I’m ALL about it. ♥ This “essence” (aromatherapy perfume), which is Miranda’s personal blend, is designed to help nurture your heart chakra, which IMHO needs constant nurturing and TLC.
To use: Roll over pulse points, such as your inner wrists, base of neck and behind your ears.
Ingredients: Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Oil*, Santalum spicatum, (Sandalwood) Oil*, Rosa damascena (Rose) Oil *, Juniperus virginiana, (Cedarwood) Oil, Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang) Oil*, geraniol**, citronellol**, farnesol**, eugenol**, linalool**, benzyl benzoate**, benzyl salicylate** *Ingredient from Organic Farming, **From essential oils. 99% of the Total ingredients are from Natural Origin, 98.72% of the Total ingredients are from Organic Farming.
Pros: Smells feminine, warm and comforting; has high quality, organic ingredients; comes in an elegant rollerball, making it perfect for travel or stashing in your purse
Cons: It comes with a hefty price tag – $65; although the scent lingers, you’ll want to reapply it throughout the day to reinvigorate your heart chakra-lovin’ senses.
Verdict: This would make a lovely Valentine’s Day gift or just a thoughtful non-holiday gift as well. If you love rose scented perfumes, you’re gonna go gaga for this stuff!
